The Member of Parliament for Hohoe Constituency, Thomas Worlanyo Tsekpo has drawn massive support behind Hohoe United Football Club.
In a press statement copied Awake News, Efo Worlanyo revealed that the Club is scheduled to play its final home match today against Inter Allies, and a win from Hohoe United in today’s match will lead the club to the Ghana Premier League.
Despite the club belonging to his political rival, John Peter Amewu who he defeated at the December 7, 2024 polls to enter parliament, the proactive MP says he is committed to supporting the club in his capacity for the development of his people.
Speaking to Awake News, Efo Worlanyo said, “It is not about who owns the club. It is about the impact of the club on the development of Hohoe. And I stand for the development of my people”.

Hohoe United Football Club, formerly the Danaoman-based Liberty Professionals, got its name change approved by the Ghana Football Association after it was acquired by the then Minister of Railways Development, John Peter Amewu.
