In a three-page petition, a group calling itself Concerned Youth of Ho West has accused the NDC Constituency chairman, Delight Koku Nukomeko Tettey of disobeying party rules and regulations.
The group claimed, among other things, that the Chairman is in bed with the NPP alleging that his was the financier Dr. Frimpong in 2015.
According to the group, the Chairman’s actions will hurl former president Mahama’s win into the rubbish if the constituency chairman is not put to order.

PETITION AGAINST THE MISCONDUCT OF THE CONSTITUENCY CHAIRMAN OF HO WEST: COMRADE DELIGHT KOKU NUKOMEKO TETTEY
We wish to bring to your notice the ongoing misconduct and gross bias on the part of the Ho West Constituency Chairman Comrade Delight Koku Nukomeko Tettey which we find very appalling and inimical to the fortunes of the party in the Constituency. This is one individual who has desecrated and compromised his office for his personal gains, not to talk of his close dealings with known NPP persons in the past and present as we speak. We believe that in the interest of our party and its fortunes, your attention must be drawn to address it immediately to forestall any future dangers his misconduct would pose to the party. We therefore wish to present a petition against him on the following captions for your immediate action.
1. Divulges Party Information to Known NPP Persons
First and foremost, Chairman Nukomeko is believed to be divulging party information to one Dr Frimpong from Amedzofe, who was his campaign financier in the 2015 Parliamentary Primaries. The said Dr Frimpong is currently an aide and advisor to Dr Bawumia the Vice President of Ghana. The Chairman and this gentleman have since kept a relationship. Their closeness is seriously believed to be a conduit of letting out some sensitive issues to the NPP which were discussed at Executive Committee meetings and among only a few persons with the Chairman present. This development has since plunged the Executive Committee into a very awkward position. This is a serious case of anti-party conduct which warrants immediate investigation and sanction.
2. Disrespectful and Arrogant
To add, he is expected to exhibit the best possible modesty in all endeavors, however, the opposite is the case. The Chairman does not display any modicum of respect and professionalism in his discharge of duties. Instead, his utterances to people including his colleague Executive Committee members is driving them away from the party. In fact, the Chairman is full of pride and arrogance. He is also rude to people, some of whom are older than him. This particular behavior is hurting our base and fortunes vary greatly. This has been a cause of worry to many people including even the aged who think this behavior coupled with the MP’s is one of the reasons why we are losing especially the youth to the NPP.
3. Loyal To the Member of Parliament Over the Party
As if that is not enough, he is in bed with the Member of Parliament and is seen always doing things in favour of the MP whose loyalty to the party is questionable. He is not serving the interest of the party as a Chairman ought to be doing. He is the lead advocate of the MP’s unpopular 5th term bid even when the entire party is seeking change. He is on record to be seriously campaigning against all other candidates instead of him serving as a neutral leader and referee. Branch executives are complaining across the Constituency about his behaviour of calling them to openly campaign for the unpopular Mr Bedzrah, the MP who has lost touch with the base of the party. This attitude has created a lot of bad blood between him and just a few of the other Constituency Executive Committee Members since he has recruited the majority of his other executive into openly supporting and campaigning for the MP instead of being neutral and fair to all.
4. Enriching Himself At Party’s Expense
Also, Chairman Nukomeko is also alleged to be using his position to solicit for money and logistics for himself at the detriment of the party. He is on record to be using the party’s name for this self seeking venture without bringing it to the attention of the constituency and other officers. This behaviour has led to serious bad blood between him and the few individuals who are opposed to the attitude. Even after several reports had been lodged to the MP to intervene, he has also not taken action on it simply because both of them are in bed. Such misconduct is very appalling and is hurting the enviable reputation of the NDC. It has also desecrated the once revered office of the Constituency Chairman.
5. Open Sideline of Critical Voices
As a result of the fallouts, he has arrogated to himself unilateral power and authority by not allowing room for other executive to do their work. He has hijacked the work of the other executive simply because of the ulterior motives he has developed suddenly.
The Chairman behaves as if he owns the party. He does not allow for inclusivity at all. A typical example is what happened recently during the campaign launch of former president H.E John Dramani Mahama in Ho where the Constituency Organizer was not allowed to do his work. Till now, Chairman cannot account for a supposed Ghc 40,000 that he collected for that event. He is reported by the Treasurer to have personally written a communiqué which was issued about the said amount without any evidence of same in the Constituency treasury. Several calls to ensure accountability has fallen on the deaf ears of the chairman. He would not account for the said money like he always does anytime he uses the name of the party in a similar fashion for his personal gains.
This brazen display of pomposity and arrogance is deepening the already gaping cracks among the Constituency Executive Committee and it is hurting the fortunes of the party greatly. The Chairman, therefore, must be hauled before your disciplinary committee to account for this misbehavior among other equally nefarious things going on under his watch and approval.
6. Compromised Referee
Furthermore, Chairman Nukomeko who was recently hauled before the Regional Disciplinary Committee for misconduct has allowed himself to the Hon Bedzrah to be used in his unpopular 5th term bid. As already mentioned, he is actually leading the campaign structure of the unpopular MP. Several calls on him by some of his executive officers have not yielded any results. This development is one of the many reasons to have created division among the constituency executives. We therefore do not understand why he should even be part of the Elections Committee which is mandated to organise both the Parliamentary and Presidential Primaries even after his display of bias for Mr Bedzrah our MP.
We want him removed from the elections committee with immediate effect together with one Mr Worlasi Keita Adom who works in the office of the MP as his aide. Both individuals are seriously leading the campaign of the unpopular MP so they cannot be trusted to be fair referees in the elections. Just recently, the rumors making the rounds suggest that both Chairman Nukomeko and Mr Adom the IT Director were those who submitted the Nomination forms of all the aspirants in the Parliamentary Primaries when there is an active Elections Director who had actually coordinated the whole filing process. Why both individuals, known to be serving the interest of the MP were those alleged to have submitted the forms to the Regional Elections Committee beats logic.
We want to serve the notice that should any of the aspirants have issues with their nomination forms which were duly vetted and received by the Elections Director, Messrs Tettey and Adom must be held accountable. We suspect that these two individuals had tampered with the nomination forms of one or more aspirants believed to be a threat to Mr Bedzrah’s unpopular 5th term. If any such thing happens, we assure you that hell will break loose because the youth are tired of Mr Bedzrah and his prolonged imposition on the people of NDC in the Ho West.
Our Demands
1. Chairman Delight Koku Nukomeko Tettey should be investigated and dealt with according to the party’s constitution and regulations.
2 He together with the IT Director Mr Worlasi Keita Adom must also be removed from the Elections Committee with immediate effect.
3. The Chairman must be made to account for all monies, especially the supposed GH 40,000 which we were made to believe he received and published same without proof of receipt.
Thank you.
