Bayern Munich star Harry Kane has firmly dismissed speculation about leaving the German champions this summer, insisting he is happy at the club. However, he did not entirely rule out a return to the Premier League at some point in the future.
Kane made a high-profile move to Bayern Munich in 2023, ending a 19-year spell at Tottenham Hotspur in pursuit of silverware. Despite a record-breaking debut season in Germany, he has yet to win a trophy, though Bayern are closing in on the Bundesliga title.
Reports in February suggested that his contract contained multiple release clauses, sparking interest from Premier League clubs, including Spurs, Manchester United, and Liverpool.
Speaking to ESPN, Kane dismissed the speculation as “a few random stories,” asserting that he is focused on his current club. “I don’t know where they come from, but for sure I’m happy here at Bayern Munich,” he emphasized.
However, when asked about a potential return to England in the future, Kane was less definitive. While his contract at Bayern runs until 2027, he admitted that football can be unpredictable. “I’ve said throughout my whole career, I’m not someone who likes to think too far ahead. I’m extremely happy here. I think we have a fantastic team, fantastic coaching staff, and I just feel like while I’m in the best condition, I want to play at the highest level possible and this is as high as it gets,” he said.
Kane acknowledged that his career could take unexpected turns but maintained that his current focus remains on Bayern. “A lot can change in football in a short space of time, but ultimately my focus is here. I’m not thinking about any other league or any other team. I like to just go with the flow, and at the moment, the flow is here at Bayern Munich.”
Winning silverware remains a major goal for Kane, who has long been compared to football legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo but lacks the trophies to match their legacies. He admitted that competing at the highest level every season was a key reason behind his move to Bayern.
“When you’re playing in the biggest games every season, year after year, it puts you on that stage,” Kane explained. “At Spurs, we had some really great years where we challenged for titles and reached the Champions League final, but it wasn’t consistent.
This is my second year at Bayern, and we have the chance to reach another Champions League semifinal and fight for another title. Bayern are seen as one of the biggest clubs in the world, and it’s exciting to play for them.”
As Bayern push for both domestic and European success, Kane remains committed to his current project. However, his comments suggest that while he is fully invested in Bayern for now, the possibility of a return to the Premier League in the future cannot be ruled out.
