I read with utter dismay a publication in which SAMIRA BAWUMIA, the Second Lady sought to downplay the achievements of the NDC in shameless contradictions.
Speaking at the Atonsu Market in the Ashanti Region, the Second Lady was reported to have said that, the country was poorly managed by the NDC especially in the area of our economy.
Wow, I cringed when I heard this but as we all know lying has now become an acute pathology in the Bawumia family that they have failed to recognize the regime, between the two that “looked on while banks collapsed”.
It is on record that in 2016, Akufo Addo and Bawumia promised to reduce all manner of taxes if given the mandate to rule. To the contrary, the NPP came to power only to increase taxes and introduce new ones such as the Luxury Tax on vehicles of a certain category making it impossible for them to use their vehicles.
SAMIRA BAWUMIA further stated that the Power Crisis (Dumsor) was fixed by the NPP. This is a shameless lie that will go a long way to embarrass her husband who himself admitted that the crisis was fixed by the NDC with his famous statement “John Mahama should not be applauded for fixing Dumsor”.
Obviously, SAMIRA Bawumia has become intoxicated by power that the crisis of Teachers and Nurses is not known to her. She seems not to be abreast with the anger among teachers for introducing Teacher Licensure Examination while inexperienced NPP NABCO recruits are made to take up teaching without any qualification or experience.
But for the purposes of setting the records straight, this blatant untruths wouldn’t have elicited my response. These deliberate contradictions and lies from Samira would not go unanswered.
Is Samira Bawumia happy with the conditions of students in Tempane SHS and elsewhere? You are punishing our children and you want us to applaud you for the poor implementation of the free SHS. I can’t believe this!
As a mother, I thought you would be concerned with the plight of these students and contribute towards their welfare but I realize you are not perturbed at all.
If I may ask, what campaign promise has the NPP fulfilled? Yes, I can understand when Samira says all is well; because she has succeeded in getting an appointment for her father as an envoy to Dubai and also got her brother as one of the Deputies at NADMO.
Can Samira point to any single factory they have established? Can she show us which constituency has received its one million dollars? Can Samira tell us where we can find the dams in our villages? It is obvious that Samira is clueless and confused.
She should tell us what they have done with the GHS 50 billion they have borrowed since assuming power. What a disgrace to our women folks.
It would be appropriate if SAMIRA Bawumia apologizes to Ghanaians especially the Kayayie ladies whom she used during her campaign and have since neglected them.
If she hasn’t heard the happenings in the country, she should read what the likes of Sarkodie, Yvonne Nelson, Shatta Wale and many other Ghanaians are saying concerning the hardships that has engulfed us by this incompetent Nana Addo/ Bawumia Government.
If you can’t build on the legacies of President Mahama, then don’t destroy it.
No amount of propaganda by you and your husband can hide the sufferings of Ghanaians.
Next time you get the microphone to speak, don’t delude yourself into believing that you can lie and get away with it. We will always be on the alert to expose your lies. Kindly note that.
Thank you
