The Medical Team of the Ghana Hajj Board has distributed about 6000 face masks to Pilgrims at Mina towards their preparation to Arafat.
Briefing the media at the sideline of the event, the head of Hajj Board Medical Team Dr. Seed Zakaria stated that it is important for Pilgrims to wear facemasks in order to protect them from contracting any form of contaminated diseases.
According to him the medical team has made series of orientation for Pilgrims on the need to use face mask at a very crowded place.
He added that places like Mina (The Tent City), Arafa, Mudilifa and Jamarat are places where people are over crowded hence the need to use facemask to avoid any form of airborne diseases.
Dr. Seed Zakaria cautioned Pilgrims who may not use the facemask due some reasons to desist from doing so as its implications can attract Clough, common cold and among others.
