Gun wielding Executive of Bawumia for President pops up on social media

Social media was taken by a storm as some pictures of a man wielding a pistol and in a T-shirt with an inscription “Movement for Bawumia for President 2024” popped up.

The picture also has an inscription suggesting that the said shirt is for an executive member of the movement.

Less than three months after President Akufo-Addo secured his second term, the ruling New Patriotic Party has been boiling over who succeeded President Akufo-Addo in 2024 following the emergence of several groups and publication of posters.

So far, names like Trade Minister Alan Kyeremanten who is a two-time flagbearer aspirate, Agri Minister Akof Afriyie, and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawuamia have surfaced in serval posters.

The Vice President in a press statement later last month distanced himself from the campaigner for his bid for the NPP flagbearer saying his focus is on how to help President Akufo-Addo succeed in his second them.

The Majority Leader, Osie-Kyei Mensah Bonsu came under heavy attack from some member of the NPP over his comments that it will be unwise for the NPP to choose yet another Akan person to lead the party as flagbearer for 2024. This call went in favor of supporters of Vice President Bawumia who called a Press Conference to warn those attack the majority leader of his wise counsel whiles supporter of Alan Keyermanten and Akoto Afriyie disagreed.
