According to host of With All Due Respect programme of Lound Silence TV, the information minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah had a meeting with some TV/radio programme managers and social media stars in the country over the weekend.

“Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah over the weekend met several radio station programs managers in Accra.” – he said

“Their discussion was around the government buying airtime on their radio and Tv stations to help push the agenda of the Akufo Addo Bawumia-led Government which has become extremely unpopular.” – he revealed.

“He equally met selected so-called social media influencers.

The government has thus set aside money that will be paid to these social media stars particularly on TikTok and Twitter to help push the government’s agenda.

Depending on your followers and how responsive your page is, these social media influencers will be paid between 5000 cedis to 20,000 cedis individually.” – Kevin said in the facebook post.

You will recall the letter from the Chief of Staff to all Ministers of state and government appointees to have active social media handles ?

This meeting of Information Minister Oppong Nkrumah and these media house managers and Social media stars all forms part of Government plans to look good in the eyes of Ghanaians.
