The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketia has revealed that, government during the election of the President of the National House of Chiefs, spent an amount of Five Million Ghana Cedis (GHc 5million) to bribe the Chiefs to vote against Torgbui Afede.

According to him, President Akufo Addo try to remove anyone who doesn’t go by his bidding, that is the reason why he find so many ways to remove him from power. He said, neutrality of the President of the National House of Chiefs has been compromised because he was assisted to win his election as the leader of the National House of Chiefs.

Speaking on Akina Radio in Techiman on Friday, December 18, he stipulated that whereby the 1992 constitution debars Chiefs from engaging in active politics, in other to settle electoral disputes among political parties. He is rather surprised that the President of National House of Chiefs ask the NDC to go to court without listening to their grievances.

He stated emphatically, The President of National House of Chiefs Ogyeahohuo Yaw Gyebill wear NPP T- Shirt during campaign.
