Mr. Franklin Cudjoe of IMANI Africa has opinioned that President Nana Akufo-Addo’s nominee for Minister of Justice, is an injustice minister and that his role had been just to defend wrongs directed at SALL (Santrokofi Akpafu, Likpe, and Lolobi).
Godfred Dame, the former Deputy Attorney General and now minister-designate for the minister of Justice ensured that a decision from the Ho High Court barring Mr. John Peter Amewu from holding himself as a member of parliament elect for Hohoe Constituency was quashed by the Supreme Court.
The Ho High Court then issued an injunction due to a decision by the Electoral Commission on the eve of the election (6th December 2020), that the people of SALL couldn’t vote on the parliamentary election but only presidential since they are not part of Hohoe contrary to their initial position that SALL is in Hohoe and that the people would vote both parliamentary and presidential in Hohoe.
Mr. Franklin on his Facebook wall lamenting the level of injustice perpetrated against the people of SALL from the state, by denying them a representative in parliament during the 2020 general elections which were spearheaded by Godfred Dame, said ” I wonder why the Attorney-General designate as chief legal advisor of government ignored the deliberate machination of the EC to disenfranchise SALL, watched them issue the infamous December 6 fatwa to bar SALL natives, some 30,000 innocent citizens and said nothing as a minister of Justice “.
He noted that ” This is just an Injustice minister-designate! His role had been just to defend wrongs directed at SALL! He is NOT my Justice Minister”.
Looking at Godfred Dame’s role in ensuring Justice on behalf of the people of Ghana, Mr. Franklin hinted that he is a failure, who can not be his representative as a Minister of Justice. In conclusion he again noted, “I wonder if he can represent you. Today, it is SALL. Tomorrow it could be Manhyia or Ayawaso West Wuogon. Sit there.”
