[dropcap]P[/dropcap]eace Ambassador, Educator and Secretary General of Universal Peace Federation-Nigeria, Dr. Raphael Ogar Oko has urged the Nigerian Educational Policy Makers to go on a study tour of Ghana’s tertiary education system to help them learn how the country is able to provide many tertiary admissions opportunities for most of her citizens and Nigerians.
According to Dr. Ogar Oko “Ghana has made it easy for most theological colleges to become university colleges offering degree programs”
[ads1]He said, this has made it very possible for the country to expand its tertiary educational system to meet the needs of Ghanaians as well as thousands of Nigerians.
Dr. Oko expressed his worry on over how Nigerians system is frustrating institutions that are aspiring to become degree awarding.
“In Nigeria, most institutions aspiring to become degree awarding institutions are not finding the terms and conditions easy and we hardly have any university college. Yet, hundreds of thousands of our young people are seeking for admission into universities and JAMB, etc have become road blocks.”

In Nigeria, most institutions aspiring to become degree awarding institutions are not finding the terms and conditions easy and we hardly have any university college. Yet, hundreds of thousands of our young people are seeking for admission into universities and JAMB, etc have become road blocks.
Our education policy makers need to go on a study tour of tertiary institutions in Ghana to learn how the country is able to provide admission opportunities for most of her citizens and even admitting several thousands from Nigeria. Is there any reason why we cannot go to learn from Ghana to improve our education system?
