Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the 2024 flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has expressed confidence that Ghanaians will soon realize they were on the right side of history despite the party’s loss in the elections.
Speaking to members of the minority in Parliament, Dr. Bawumia urged them to stay strong and continue working towards the party’s future success. He acknowledged the setback but assured them that their vision for Ghana would eventually be proven right.
“Obviously, we didn’t win. But I want you to be clear in your mind that over time, everyone will realize that we were on the right side of the battle,” he stated.
Dr. Bawumia emphasized that the policies and plans the NPP had begun would have transformed the country, and their impact would be recognized in due time. He encouraged party members to remain committed, assuring them that their political journey was far from over.
“So, I need you to keep your head up and committed to the further work ahead. We lost the battle in 2024, but we won’t lose this war. It will be tough, but I believe with God, we shall eventually win,” he added.
His remarks aim to inspire party members to stay focused and determined as they prepare for future political battles.
