Ghana Police Service Hits by Reshuffle

There has been some reshuffle in the Ghana Police Service. In a Release signed by the Inspector General of Police, IGP, David Asante-Apeatu, the police administration has made the changes in line with the necessities of effective management and operational control of the services.

The changes take immediate effect

The Director-General/Operations, COP/Dr. George Akuffo Dampare has been move to Director – General/Research and Planning, while COP/MR. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, Director – General/Special Duties has been moved to Director General/Police Intelligence Unit.

Below is a list of the transferred officers

Meanwhile some members of the general public believe that the transfer has become necessary due to the increase spate of armed robberies that has characterized the country recently especially in the capital.
