Dennis Miracles Aboagye, spokesperson for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s 2024 election campaign, has expressed frustration over several issues under the current government.

In a social media post, he highlighted ongoing power outages, which he called “dumsor,” just hours before the reading of the 2025 budget.

He also raised concerns about rising galamsey activities, with illegal miners openly defying security forces, and the worsening pollution of the country’s water bodies.

Aboagye criticized the government’s decision to lay off thousands of workers without clear justification, as well as the increase in fuel prices, which has driven up the cost of goods and services.

He also expressed disappointment over the government’s failure to fulfill its promise to cover the tuition fees of first-year university students, leaving them to pay for their own fees instead.

Additionally, Aboagye criticized some so-called neutral civil society organizations (CSOs) for their apparent political bias, revealing that they had aligned with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) after misleading the public about their stance.

He concluded by urging the public to stay engaged in discussions about the country’s future and hold the government accountable to its promises, emphasizing the need for a responsible government to fulfill its social contract with the citizens.
