According to the group in a press statement signed by its Convenor, Wonder Setsoafia Deynu, and copied Awake News, it is with “heavy heart to call on the public to stand against the transfer of Keta Municipal Assembly management without any proper investigation into the issues calling for their immediate transfer.”

“Again, we see this as a cover-up in the missing Ghc 111,000.00 Covid-19 money in Keta Municipal Assembly, sharing of the reclaimed land among the assembly members, selling of the reclaimed land at a “dongomi” price and this without issuing receipts on it, etc.” – He said

For them, “the assembly members cannot be seen as angels in this matter, because some of them are also accused by management of being accomplices in such criminal acts.” quizzing “Why then should they resolved to transfer management without the removal of Government Appointees who are the main architects in the mess Keta Municipal Assembly has found itself now.”

They are therefore calling on the “Keta Municipal citizens to rally behind the Concerned Citizens of Anloland to bring those who want to sell our land and deprive us of development and thereby bring total hardship to our current generation and those unborn.”

Immediate Press Release

KETA MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY IN A COMPLETE MESS IN THE HANDS OF MANAGERS AND ASSEMBLY MEMBERS

We, the Concerned Citizens of Anloland, write with a heavy heart to call on the public to stand against the transfer of Keta Municipal Assembly management without any proper investigation into the issues calling for their immediate transfer.

Again, we see this as a cover-up in the missing Ghc 111,000.00 Covid-19 money in Keta Municipal Assembly, sharing of the reclaimed land among the assembly members, selling of the reclaimed land at a “dongomi” price and this without issuing receipts on it, etc.

We, the Concerned Citizens of Anloland, are, hereby, calling on the Presiding Member of the Keta Municipal Assembly to dissolve all the sub-committees involved in such criminal acts and reconstitute them.

Furthermore, the assembly members cannot be seen as angels in this matter, because some of them are also accused by management of being accomplices in such criminal acts. Why then should they resolved to transfer management without the removal of Government Appointees who are the main architects in the mess Keta Municipal Assembly has found itself now.

We are, therefore, calling on the whole Keta Municipal citizens to rally behind the Concerned Citizens of Anloland to bring those who want to sell our land and deprive us from development and thereby bring total hardship to our current generation and those unborn.

We condemn in no uncertain terms those happenings in the Assembly and call for total light to be made on those issues and those officers found culpable be brought to book.

Keta Municipal Assembly is not for sale and Keta Municipal Assembly must raise again.

Thank you.

Signed
Wonder Setsoafia Deynu
Convenor 0240554207
