Founding president of IMANI Africa and a social commentator, Franklin Cudjoe, has hailed the economic policies outlined by the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama, in the party’s 2024 manifesto.
The policy document, dubbed the ‘Resetting Ghana Manifesto,’ was launched on Saturday, August 24, a week after the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) launched its own manifesto.
In the document, the NDC detailed many economy-related plans and policies it intends to implement if the party comes to power in January 2025. Notable among them is the 24-hour economy policy. According to the party, the policy entails that three individuals share one job in a shift system.
Amazed by the policies, Mr. Cudjoe described them as understandable and human-centered, specifically calling the 24-hour economy policy “sensible”.
“Clear, relatable and humane. A fiscal consolidation plan and economic summit is very sensible. 24-hour economy though….,” he wrote on social media.
