Just before proceedings commenced at the Supreme Court this morning, the law himself, Lord Tsatsu Tsikata got me stunned–that he reads my writings.
This, in the presence of the astute former Attorney General, Hon. Marrieta Brew and very senior lawyer Tony Lithur and others are, for me, the height of recognition. Forget law PhD and publications. We are talking about Tsatsu here.
His statement kept ringing in my head and destroyed my focus throughout the proceedings. I was so humbled to the point of being shy.
On my way to the office after court, I felt above every other driver according to the Tsatsu Approval Index –it was as if to ask any driver who violently crossed me or refused to give way ‘do you even write and does Tsatsu read you”?
This is the day the Lord has made.
If I were on good terms with Apio, I will soak in it tonight.
When I get home, I’ll call my parents and tell them I have ‘arrived’ and that leaving my village Zorko to chase my dreams in Accra has been rewarded.
The point of this post is simple- let’s celebrate TT NOW. Prosecutions didn’t work, propaganda on his work and knowledge of the law during this Petition won’t work either.
Lord Denning is revered, it doesn’t mean he didn’t have his own political views.
