Real Madrid, with an eye on bolstering their squad, has shown a strong interest in Manchester United’s young midfielder, Kobbie Mainoo.

The Spanish giants join Chelsea in the race to secure the 18-year-old’s signature. Alongside this, they are also pursuing a €100m (£84.2m) move for Viktor Gyokeres, the Sporting CP striker, as part of their ongoing efforts to strengthen their attacking options.

Meanwhile, Leroy Sane, who is set to leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season, is willing to take a pay cut to make a move to Arsenal.

In another twist, Liverpool have emerged as the frontrunners for Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Joao Gomes, while there are also reports of Darwin Nunez seeking a way out of Anfield. Frustrated by his limited role, Nunez has reportedly offered himself to Barcelona, hoping for a return to Spain.

Liverpool are also targeting Barcelona’s Ronald Araujo as a potential replacement for the aging Virgil van Dijk, although negotiations are expected to be tough, with the defender valued at €60m (£50.5m). To sweeten the deal, Liverpool may offer €25m (£21.1m) alongside forward Luis Diaz in a swap.

In the goalkeeper department, Manchester United are reportedly unimpressed with Andre Onana’s performances and are eyeing a move for Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak to shore up their defense.

Chelsea and Manchester United are also in competition for Barcelona’s Alejandro Balde, with both clubs keen on securing the left-back’s services in the upcoming transfer window.

Looking to improve their management, Chelsea have reportedly lost faith in Enzo Maresca and are considering a bold move to rehire Real Madrid’s Carlo Ancelotti, who is rumored to be replaced by Xabi Alonso at the Spanish club next summer.

In further transfer news, Thomas Partey of Arsenal is attracting attention from both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, while Jack Grealish and Ederson of Manchester City are also expected to be in demand.

West Ham United are reportedly preparing a €35m (£29.5m) bid for Lyon’s Georges Mikautadze and have also identified Tammy Abraham, who is returning to Roma after his loan spell at AC Milan, as a target.

Tottenham Hotspur, meanwhile, is eyeing Wolves’ Rayan Ait-Nouri, with plans to bid £29.5m, though the left-back is valued closer to £50m.

Spurs are also considering alternatives like Everton’s Vitaliy Mykolenko and Miguel Gutierrez from Girona. Additionally, Tottenham scouts have been monitoring Club Brugge’s Ardon Jashari, a 22-year-old midfielder who is also being tracked by Aston Villa.

The transfer market promises to be buzzing this summer, with many top clubs making moves to strengthen their squads ahead of the new season.
