A member of the National Communication Team of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Precious Agbenya, popularly known as Emperor Blade has celebrated the festive period with some youth at Agbakope in the South Tongu Constituency of the Volta Region.
Accompanied by some branch executives of the NDC, Mr. Agbenya donated per of sandals to about one thousand youth who participated in the event gathering.
Addressing the gathering, Emperor told the youth that the NDC who is noted as a grassroots party has not forgotten its base despite hence his effort to celebrate the festive season with them and to remind them of their collective effort to get rid of the NPP out of power in 2024.
According to him, the NDC and its founder, late JJ Rawlings has done a lot for the Region over the year and the grassroots must not lose focus on working for the NDC to regain power in 2024.
He noted that the only way Ghanaians can be relieved from the massive hardship and corruption the President Akufo-Addo led NPP government has visited on them is to work hard to kick out the NPP in 2024.
Speaking to Awake News, the Youth activist said the gesture is his personal initiative to contribute toward energizing the base of the party.
