Following the Ministry of Communications approval of Ghana’s Satellite Licensing Framework, the NCA announced its decision in an official statement dated April 25, 2024.

A statement by the NCA said it has “approved the application of Space X Starlink GH LTD, operators of Starlink Satellite Broadband, to offer Satellite Broadband Services in Ghana.”

Adding, “The approval of the application follows the policy approval of the Satellite Licensing Framework in Ghana by the Ministry of Communications and Digitalization.”

Though the application has been approved, Starlink has not yet been given the license to operate. The NCA said “The administrative processes towards the issuance of the license is ongoing and will be completed shortly.”
