Mr Atsu Forson said no amount of intimation or rigging machinery in the country can possibly suppress the will of the masses.

He made these comments following his appointment as the Greater Accra Deputy Security Coordinator for the umbrella fraternity.

Mr. Atsu Forson stressed that the NPP and its powers should never dream of using the military to brutalize citizens during Election 2024. He said if they do, the NDC will surely meet them squarely without rancor.

“No military officer should be ordered to intimidate voters and we are full aware that the NPP have appointed people who are sympathizers of the party. We the NDC are sending a signal to them that they shouldn’t push or give an order to any officer to misbehave on the day of Elections come December 7.”

“The number of Ghanaians are more than the soldiers, and civilians uprising is more dangerous and delicate than that of coup so the officers on Election day ought to thread cautiously,” he warned.

He further indicated that if Ghanaians were to vote based on this current economic challenges and the state of the country, Mr. Mahama would win any free, fair and credible elections in the country.

According to Atsu Forson, “2024 offers the greatest opportunity for the NDC to recapture political power, and all members must endeavour as much as possible to work to support John Dramani Mahama.”

He said though there was a clear sign on the wall that the NDC would win the upcoming Presidential and Parliamentary elections, he cautioned the Party not to play the game of complacency.

Mr. Atsu Forson disclosed that the credibility and sustainability of the party’s message was paramount. He thus urged all members of the NDC, especially its Communicators to trumpet the good messages and development projects undertaken by the Party in government over the years.

Atsu Forson added that the importance of Election 2024 calls for hard work, unity of purpose, vigilance, and an uncompromising attitude devoid of any form of intimation.

He admonished all party executives across the country to campaign in every nook and cranny of all the Constituencies to propagate the message of the NDC, especially the ‘24-hour economy’ policy of the Party.
