The Progressive People’s Party (PPP) has elected the former Vice Presidential Candidate as the flagbearer in the upcoming December 7, 2020 Presidential elections.
Ms. Dzogbenuku, thus succeeding the party’s founder, Dr. Papa Kwesi Ndoum who led the party into the December 2016 elections.
She has become the first female to lead the PPP after beating Mr. Dorworkpor in the flagbearership race.
With her election to lead the PPP, Ms. Dzogbenuku is facing NDC’s former President John Mahama, incumbent President Akufo-Addo, Liberal Party of Ghana’s Kofi Akpaloo, Independent Candidate Kofi Game among others.
Who is Brigitte Dzogbenuku?
She is a former Miss Ghana and the Vice Presidential candidate for the Progressive People’s Party.
Education
Dzogbenuku had her secondary education at Wesley Girls High School in Cape Coast. She proceeded to the University of Ghana to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree in Modern Languages.
Career
Dzogbenuku is a columnist at the Graphic Communication Group Limited where she writes for Graphic Mirror under Manners Matter. She was formerly General Manager at the Aviation Social Center. She also worked with Ashanti Goldfields Corporation as well as SC Johnson Wax Ghana.
Awards and recognition
Dzogbenuku won Miss Ghana beauty pageant in 1991. She also won the Fortune/Goldman Sachs Women’s Leadership Award in 2008
