An Elder in the Church of Pentecost, Renner Awatey Noah popularly known as Elder Noah has filed to contest for the upcoming Parliamentary Primaries of the ruling New Patriotic Party in the Shai Osudoku Constituency of the Greater Accra Region.
Elder Noah, currently the Presiding Elder at the Dodowa Central – English Assembly of the Church of Pentecost is one of the pillars of the NDC dominated Constituency.
He contested the 2016 Parliamentary primaries but lost marginally to his main contended.
The business man and contractor is confident of winning the primary whiles looking beyond the primaries to help the NPP end the NDC dominance in the constituency by snatching the seat from the opposition.
The preacher, many in the constituency particularly in Dodowa who spoke to Awake News said he is a very generous and result oriented leader who has the primary aim of seeking the welfare and progress of his followers.
“Beside being a preacher man, he is also a very kindhearted, principled person and gives me advice in times of challenges” – A constituent told Awake News
“Elder Noah is like a farther to me. I remember in 2012 during my marriage ceremony at Ho in the Volta Region, he organized a bus full of people from Dodowa to come a support me. His support was more massive than even my own family members” – He said
“We need people like Elder Noah to be in leadership positions. He cares about his people” – He added
The National Steering Committee of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the NPP has issued guidelines for the conduct of the NPP Parliamentary primaries.
According to the timetable, the Party would open nominations for the orphan constituencies from July 20, and close on August 3; whilst elections would be conducted on September 28, simultaneously across the country.
