Former Ghana Football Association President, Kwesi Nyantakyi lost the Ejisu parliamentary bid on the ticket of the NPP, having garnered 35 votes.
The former GFA president was handed a humiliating exit from the sports industry after an expóse by Tiger Eye PI.
However, he decided to take his chances at the upcoming Ejisu by-election on the ticket of the NPP to replace the late John Kumah.
Mr Nyantakyi’s interest in the political landscape has been short lived as he was able to total only 35 votes, placing 5th in the primary.
Kwesi Nyantakyi overcame an undisclosed emergency illness at the hospital on Friday night to make it to the voting centre.
The 2nd Deputy Constituency Chairman Lawyer Kwabena Boateng amassed 394 votes out of the total votes cast with the closest contender been Helena Mensah who secured 302 votes of the total votes cast.
