Bono Regional Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo has said that though the petition for the expulsion of the former Deputy General Secretary from the party was an individual move, he supports such call.

According to him, the petition was not the decision of the entire body of NDC in the region, but the grassroots supporters including himself support the petitioner in full length.

It could be recalled that the Deputy Communications Officer of the NDC in the Bono Region, Eric Adjei petitioned the party’s National Executive Council to expel Samuel Koku Anyidoho from the party on grounds of gross misconduct.

In the view of the petitioner, Mr. Anyidoho’s recent conducts and comments on social media go contrary to the express provisions of the Constitution of the National Democratic Congress and inimical to the progress of the party, hence the need to expel him.

But speaking on A1 Radio, on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, Mr. Worlanyo opined that the move by the Deputy Communications Officer was in good faith and will help bring the progress the NDC has been yenning for.

“… yes, I have seen the petition written by my brother and I must say that I support him. Though it is an individual move. It was not an organized petition, but I will personally say I support his move. Samuel Koku Anyidoho has to be expelled from the party, because he is ungrateful to the party despite the numerous benefits he has gained from the party. If you check Koku’s current misconduct on his social media handles towards the party, one will begin to doubt where exactly he is coming from.”

Meanwhile, the former General Secretary of NDC, Samuel Koku Anyidoho on his Twitter handle, at the time of filing this report had this, “I had friends from birth before the advent of NDC-NPP politics: NDC politics did not make me: My father, mother and my upbringing groomed me into my potential, before politics spotted me.”

Mr. Anyidoho also celebrated his 50th birthday this week and failed to invite any member from the NDC and took to his Twitter handle to say, “Kwame Sefa Kayi and I grew up together in Burma Camp. My father was the best man for Kwame’s father when he had his wedding. Kwame’s mother, auntie Safoa, was my Sunday School teacher. I have known Kwame as long as I have lived & was glad to see him, Kwaku Baako & Egbert @ my 50th.”
