Comrade EDWARD MORTEY writes and I agree
Dr Kwame Nkrumah remains the BIG ONE(1)
Today is Ghana’s Independence day but subjectively I think this day can never be complete if we do not as a country take stock of how we have come, where we want to go, and put properly and rightly how our history will be told, but rather today in the hands of betrayers and detractors…. then we are in serious trouble.
It has been very difficult, but trying times in our country Ghana, when day in and day out a group of nation wreckers of the philosophically bankrupt “DomboBusiaDanquah” Danquah Institute (Media, Research & Policy Analysis Center) fame keeps twisting and rewriting our history just for the hatred of one person (Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah) Convention People’s Party to fit into their imperialist agenda against their own brothers and sisters.
In page 36, History of Ghana book 6 by Golden Publishers, there is a clear cut agenda to downplay and denigrate Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah, The first Black African President/Founder Of Ghana and our biggest inspiration to the lowest degree, and this will not wash, “I mean how dare you do this to this honourable man.”
“If I may ask what at all did the philosophically bankrupt Danquah Institute (DomboBusiaDanquah ) do to Ghana, wasn’t the looting of our resources and getting the Queen’s head on our currency.”
1.Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah was never a dictator but a straight Consummate Socialist
2.The Policies of the CPP Party rather brought us plentiful of food through the silos program, establishment of the Tema and Takoradi ports for our industrial revolution created loss of jobs for the populace.
3. Another baseless propaganda that he wasted resources, hell NO, Osagyefo used our resources to establish Komfo Anokye hospital, Korle-bu teaching hospital, Ghana medical school, Gihoc Pharmaceuticals, The establishment of many government Secondary Schools across the country through Ghana Education trust fund, Ghana Hotels Corporation, CocoBod, Tema Oil Refinery, Tema Township Project, Ghana Film Industry, Ghana Nautical college now Ghana Maritime University, Ghana shipping line with over 15ships, Ghana Airways Corporation which one of your their own from the DomboBusiaDanquah fame collapsed and many many others not forgetting the Almighty Tema Motorway concrete which your so-called Philosophically bankrupt DomboBusiaDanquah same as today’s Npp government shamelessly pouring Asphalt on it.. really this should be a joke of the century.
“So tell me, Our independence is not meaningless and useless…because today the very reasons which is our rights and freedoms have been trampled upon and we see the travesty of justice in our own eyes whiles many claims we are being led by a human rights activist…hell no this is a clear case democratic dictatorship.. “Men we got no freedom”
4. I totally agree with the fact that, yes many people contributed immensely to the independence struggle, I mean the grassroots, talk of the Mason’s, Carpenters, metal fabricators, journalists, traders, cobblers, transport unions, media, photographers, and historians etc and not the Danquahs and co you people are trying to heap praises on …do we all remember they wanted independence in the Shortest possible time but Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah and CPP wanted Self Government and Independence now now now so how come all of a sudden betrayers and detractors want to accrue to themselves titles they don’t even come close to Sad.
” If I may ask what at all did Danquah and co did to Ghana, when Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah was building Tema and Takoradi ports, they were drinking tea, when he was establiahing the Akosombo Dam, they were in Suits speaking Shakespearean English so how dare you people compare yourself to Dr Kwame Nkrumah”
Yes again Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah supported other African countries to gain independence in order for the Organization of African (OAU) to take form and shape.
No attempt to denigrate or reduce Kwame Nkrumahs pre-eminent role in Ghana and Africa’s development will succeed, but rather advice successive governments and the good people of Ghana that, until we understudy who exactly Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah is, his ideals and what he meant for our Freedom we will continue to wallow in abject poverty because the Imperialist (NPP) leading us today doesn’t give a damn of the suffering we go through as a people.
Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah remains our first President, Founder of Ghana, and mentors to many people across the globe.
Many would like to know, where did we go wrong as a country ? and I gladly say we went wrong the very day on February 24 ,1966 our day of Shame but have forgotten we have voted this same person to rule us, you know why … they have not changed.
“Through our disunity, we were enslaved
Through our disunity, we were colonized
Through our disunity, today we are neocolonised ..”
Let these words and many others, buttress our thoughts on the need for us Africa, Ghana youth to unite or we perish forever.
