The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has initiated a Youth Apprenticeship programme with the aim of training youth in electrical installation.
Godfred Mensah, the Director of the ECG Training School, announced that the programme aimed at equipping youths aged 16 to 30 years with practical skills in electrical installation.
This initiative is part of ECG’s efforts to reduce the growing unemployment in Ghana.
He disclosed that the programme will provide valuable vocational training to the teeming unemployed youth to better their lives.
Godfred Mensah underscored ECG’s commitment to teaching and supporting interested individuals through their training school. He added that the apprenticeship programme will prevent beneficiaries from engaging in social vices which are highly inimical to their progress.
