“The armed robbers randomly shot through the bushes while I run off which ultimately led to me suffering three gunshot wounds in my hip and legs. “A kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal*

Like my caption infers, I’m deeply wounded and in dire need of your benovelence and compassion so that I can completely heal and provide for my family like I used to.

My name is Ebenezer Amponsah Ntiakoh, a Kumasi resident turning 39 in March this year. I am employed in a non-governmental organisation and have two children, a boy and a girl aged 7 and 5, with my wife and sole care giver, Mrs Ntiakoh.

On the 2nd of November while on my way back from work at around 6pm, I was acossted by unknown gunmen right in front of my gate. They asked for money that I didn’t have and when I told them so, they asked me to drive away from my house to the bush so that they could kill me. On nearing the bush with the armed men in tow, I dived out of my car into the bushes with the aim of running to safety. The armed robbers randomly shot through the bushes while I run off which ultimately led to me suffering three gunshot wounds in my hip and legs. They then drove off with my car, abandoned it about a mile away from where I was shot and shot through the car’s windows and windscreen.

After 5 surgeries and numerous infections, my doctor has advised that my last surgery be a total hip replacement surgery. Unfortunately, I’ve used almost all my financial resources including life savings and sales from properties to foot the bill of the previous surgeries ($11,000 in all) and so while the hip replacement surgery will cost a total of $13,000, I’ve only been able to come up with $4,000.

I am soliciting help to raise the remaining $9,000 to aid me get back on my feet. As the sole provider for my family, it’s been a rough couple of months for all my family members and especially my school-going children since I’ve been bedridden after the shooting incident and haven’t been able to bring in as much money as I used to. I’m willing to put in the work required post surgery which includes a lot of physical therapy to be able to get back on my feet, get working, and provide for my family. In the meantime, I’ll be very happy if you could help me with any little amount to offset my surgical bills. Please find attached pictures to corroborate my hospitalization, doctor’s reports and a link to the incident as carried by a local news agency.

I appreciate all of your help! If you’re inclined to help, you can send mobile money to 0242545825 which belongs to my mother Yvonne Adwoa Yeboah. Alternatively, my GCB account with the number 6021010033131 bearing the name Amponsah Ntiakoh Ebenezer, can be used. God bless you!”
