Former NDC National Organizer Joshua Akamba said the NPP has no locus to criticize John Mahama over his management of dumsor

Former National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joshua Hamidu Akamba has lambasted Akufo-Addo/Bawumia-led administration. He said they lack credibility to tag John Mahama as incompetent after horribly failing to keep the lights on despite previously blaming Mahama for Dumsor.

According to him, the NPP criticization of Mahama’s leadership as incompetent is lame, adding that the NPP’s administration has overly exhibited gross incompetence for the past 7 years.

He lamented how the NPP communicators always blame John Mahama for the intermittent power outages in the country. According to him, the NPP leaders have no locus to criticize Mahama now that the country is experiencing constant disco or dumsor.

He added that, the NPP leaders have no moral right to criticize John Mahama because the party has failed in all aspects of the economy.

Joshua Akamba added that the persistent issue of power outages, known popularly as Dumsor is not the making of the John Mahama administration.

The Mahama administration faced significant criticism when Ghanaians experienced power crisis during his reign as President.

“Mahama did everything within his capacity to address the issue of dumsor before the NDC’s term ended,” he said.

He reiterated that the issue of generation capacity, fuel shortages and unpaid accumulated legacy debts were addressed in 2015.

Akamba urged Ghanaians to rally behind John Mahama and vote massively for the NDC because it’s only Mahama who has the magic wand to address the plight of Ghanaians.
