A statement released by the club said the Popular and Centre Line stands at the Baba Yara Stadium will be free for supporters on Sunday. It added that the decision was based on a recommendation to the club’s management.

Aside from making the Popular and Centre Line stands free, the club also announced reduced rates for the VIP and VVIP sections. Dreams FC added that they are selling tickets to those sections in order to satisfy security and safety requirements.

“The management of Dreams Football Club has accepted a recommendation to make access to majority portions of the stadium for its return leg CAF Confederation Cup semi-final clash against Zamalek free of charge.

“Consequently, the popular and centre line stands of the Baba Yara sports stadium for the game on Sunday, April 28, 2024, will be free. Tickets for the VIP and VVIP stands shall however be sold for GHC 20 and GHC 50 respectively to satisfy security and safety requirements.”

As a result, the club appealed to Ghanaians to trop to the stadium to cheer the team to victory.

“We therefore urge all football enthusiasts in Ghana to gather in large numbers at the Baba Yara sports stadium to support the team as they strive to achieve a historic qualification for the grand finale of the continental competition.”

“Additionally, management will soon announce several other measures to ensure the successful hosting of the game. Let’s do this for Mother Ghana,” the statement concluded.

Meanwhile, a win for Dreams FC would be a huge positive for Ghana. Entry into CAF competitions are based on CAF’s 5-year ranking system. Due to Dreams FC’s deep run into the competition, Ghana could move into the top 12 nations if Dreams FC win the tournament and and CAF Super Cup. Winning will take Ghana to 25 points, level with Nigeria.

A win in the Super Cup will take Ghana to 26 points, leapfrogging Nigeria to the 12th place and earning Ghana two more slots in CAF competitions for the 2024-25 season.
