The Volta Regional Correspondent of the EIB Network, Abdul Faisel Iddrisu has deceased heavily on the Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Letsa calling him a lazy politician whose interest in politics to the areas to invest to easily make money.

According to the journalist, since the tidal wave havoc started March 2021 till date, the Regional Minister who he describes as undoubtedly one of the most successful businessmen in the region has never paid a single visit to the victim of the disaster.

Adding that it bits his imagination to learn that the Minister will be visiting the areas tomorrow, less than 24hours after former President John Mahama has extended his helping hands to the people.

“I have just been told that the Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa would tomorrow be in the communities affected by tidal waves, and I kind of wonder what might have finally caused him to want to do so.”  – he said

“Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa is no doubt one of the most successful businessmen from the Volta region but I tell you Dr. Letsa is not best fit to be the political head of the region; his best interest in politics is to invest in areas he can easily make money.

Why do I say so, between March 2021 to November, Salakope-Amutinu, Agavedzi and Adina areas were struck seven good times by the destructive waves?

Between all these periods, Dr. Letsa never made a statement or visited the area to empathize with these people until somewhere in June, when the Works and Housing Minister toured the areas; that was the only time Dr. Letsa was there.

From June till date, despite the dangers that the tidal wave or storm surge poses to the existence of these people, our Regional Minister remained silent and never bothered.

Apparently, he never considered the happenings in these areas as threatening as it is told.

He’s finally making a trip to the areas?

Well, I’ve shared my thoughts of him” – Faisel in a video said.
