TEIN Communication Officer of Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development- Kumasi, Hon. Suuk Emmanuel has charged members of the NDC not to rely solely on polls but rather go to the people to campaign for the National Democratic Congress (NDC)
He said the onus rests on the laps of NDC members to campaign for John Mahama and work assiduously in rescuing Ghana from the hands of the inept governing New Patriotic Party.
“Winning Election 2024 will surely [be] the second independence for Ghanaians. The citizenry can’t continue to experience this economic distress and untold hardship under the NPP,” he said.
Mr Suuk said the NDC should not be complacent and rely on polls that favour the party, instead, the party should remain vigilant and work tirelessly until John Mahama is declared the winner.
He added that, while polls may indicate that the NDC is in a comfortable lead, it is equally paramount to remember that elections are won at the polling station and not results of opinion Polls.
“The party must continue to engage with voters, listen to their concerns, and offer viable solutions to the challenges facing the country,” he added
According to Mr. Suuk, though John Mahama is a seasoned politician with a proven track record of leadership, he can’t win elections all by himself. He said it will take the collective efforts of party members, supporters, and volunteers to secure victory in 2024.
The NDC must focus on building a strong campaign structure, mobilizing grassroots support, and reaching out to undecided voters. It is crucial that the party remains united and focused on the goal of winning the election for the betterment of all Ghanaians.
“As we move closer to the 2024 election, the NDC must not rest on its laurels but instead, redouble its efforts and work tirelessly to ensure that John Mahama emerges victorious. The future of our country depends on it,” he emphasized.
