Almost 64 years after Independence, if there should be a problem facing Ghana, a blessed country with enormous mineral deposits, it shouldn’t be school children studying on the bare floor even at a time of Covid.
Well, that is the case, as a trending picture of school children in face shield seen studying on the floor in a class room pops up on the internet.
The picture is getting a lot of reaction with folks on social media registering their displeasure with some saying if we can export timber to Europe and China why can’t we as a country get chairs for students to sit on and study?
Believed to have come from a basic school in the Upper West Region, the picture exposes how flawed our educational infrastructure has been over the years and how unprepared we are as a country as children are cleared to resume school with a surge in Coronavirus case
