Some twenty (20) lower court judges who have been dismissed by the Judicial Service of Ghana on December 7, 2015 are expected to address the press on Thursday, December 7, 2017, 1:00pm to mark their 2nd year anniversary since their dismissal.
The judges, who were part of the 32 implicated in the exposé done by ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, were dismissed for [ads1]violating provisions of the 1992 Constitution, according to a Committee set up by the then Cheif Justice, Theodora Georgina Wood to investigate Anas’s claims.
Some of them have been sacked with benefits while others got dismissed without their benefits.
The leader of the dismissed judges told Awake News’ Efo Korsi Senyo that the press conference which will be held at the conference hall of Toku House, 4 Graphic Road, opposite Graphic Communications, Accra will be used mark the 2nd year of their painful dismissal, set the road straight on matters surrounding their dismissal and to expose some allegations of corruption in the high hierarchy within the judiciary.
According to the dismissed judge, he has a huge volume of documents that could implicate some officials of the top leadership of the judiciary on issues of alleged corruption, conflict of interest, insider trading, over bloating of contracts among others.
