Jose Mourinho
Fenerbahce manager Jose Mourinho commonly known as the ‘Special One’ has revealed the reasons behind his sending off last night and the conversation he had with referee Clement Turpin in their Europa League clash with Manchester United.
According to the Mourinho, referee Turpin red-carding him is proof he is the best referee in the world. He expressed that, the protest from his side for penalty when Bright Osayi-Samuel was brought down by Manchester United midfielder Manuel Ugarte led to the incident.
Mourinho said “He told me something incredible. He told me at the same time he could see the action in the box and my behaviour on the touchline.
“I congratulate him because he is absolutely incredible, his peripheral vision. During the game, 100mph, he had one eye on the penalty situation and he had one eye on the bench and my behaviour.
“That’s the explanation he gave me. That’s why he’s one of the best referees in the world”.
