A USA – Ghanaian based charity organization, Denkyem Foundation has donated clothes worth thousands of Ghana cedis to over 300 people in some deprived communities in Tema and Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.
[ads1]Presenting the items to the people on behalf of Denkyem Foundation, Mr. David Amankwaa said the donation is part of efforts of the organization to give hope to people in deprived communities.
According to him, the Chrismas eve donation was just one of the many developmental interventions the foundation through its founder, King Ohene Obeng Asomaning has brought to the people of Ghana.
Some of the items donated include shoes, shirts, school bags among others to both young and old.
Speaking to Awake News, the founder of Denkyem Foundation, King Ohene Obeng Asomaning who is also the CEO of a US-based King Global Ventures says he sees giving back to society as a fulfillment of God’s will and deliberate effort to bring development to grassroots.
“I see what I do as the will of God and even if no one appreciates it, so long as beneficiaries are happy, I am ok” – he said
Mr. Asomaning noted that there is the need for every individual in Africa who is privileged to look back to where they are coming from and try to contribute to the development process and not only wait for government.
“We African who are more privileged than others must make it a priority to go back and support our root. The government cannot do it all. We must also support” – he told Efo Korsi Senyo
“Give2Ghana.org and Give2Africa.org presented by Denkyem Foundation don’t do these things because someone is watching Big knowing God is watching, every little bit counts. One child at a time priceless. Today a child will go to school not barefoot not with tatted clothes. A child has a toothpaste and brush; clean clothes; pens books and pencils. Our future leaders; world best footballers; ministers; teachers; scientists; smarter politicians and bureaucrats; sincere and patriots with empathy, because we thought them how to give back and serve by our actions. Our future and their future are both bright” Mr. Asomaning added
