The cElectoral Commission is not recruiting staff – Jean Mensa (EC) has expressed its disappointment in the National Democratic Congress‘s (NDC) decision to embark on a nationwide protest, demanding a forensic audit of the voters’ register.

Addressing the media, Dr. Serebour Quaicoe, Director of Electoral Services at the commission, explained that “the credibility of the voter register is not about demonstrations or street protests. It’s about the work that we do.”

“According to him, the EC has followed the law and due process in compiling the voters’ register, ensuring its credibility. “The voter register is credible. We have done everything we need to do to ensure that it is credible,” he said.

The NDC has raised concerns about anomalies and discrepancies in the register. However, the EC maintains that it has addressed all concerns raised by stakeholders.

“We have checked and verified all the concerns raised by the political parties and other stakeholders,” Dr. Quaicoe indicated.
