De-Eye Group sues Manasseh, Multimedia for GHȻ10 million

De-Eye Group Limited, the alleged recruitment company captured by Joy News in an undercover documentary has sued the Multimedia Group and Manasseh Azure Awuni for claiming the company is a militia group being sponsored by the governing NPP.

The group is demanding a compensation of GHC10 million from the Multimedia and Manasseh over the investigative piece that has generated a lot of discussions in the country in the past few days.

The controversial group in a writ said the claims made in the documentary titled ‘Militia in the Heart of the Nation’ is “slanderous and defamatory and was made without any reasonable or just cause”.

De-Eye Group is seeking the court to restrain the Multimedia Group Limited from further airing the documentary and desist from calling them a militia group.

They also want the media company and the journalist who did the undercover work to retract the publication of the “defamatory” documentary and render an unqualified apology.
