Daughter of Kayayo, 2, needs help to enroll into school

Education is key in guaranteeing a better future for children but for some disadvantaged kids whose parents cannot afford to enroll them into school to study due to lack of funds are not guaranteed such a glorious future.
One of such kid’s whose future appears to be bleak from the onset is  2-year-old Suraya Firdous whose parents hailed from Sakpaba, a village in the Northern Region but now reside in the slum in Accra where they both work as head porters (Kayayei) to fend for themselves who unfortunately lack the financial muscle to cater to their  ward school needs.
Little Suraya Firdous is charming and buoyant looking young girl who dreams of becoming a police officer in the near future with the hope that one day she can contribute her quota meaningfully to fighting crime leading to the development of her beloved country, Ghana.
All she currently needs is support from any ‘good samaritan’ who can make her dream come true to secure that future by getting her enrolled into preschool and be responsible for her upkeep till she graduates to a higher level and finally makes it to the University and complete.
Her 24-year-old mother, Adams Warahama, a Kayayo who ply the market at Tudu in Accra in interview with a reporter at the Human Rights Reporters Ghana(HRRG) pleads for support, adding, “life has been very difficult for my husband and I, even what to eat is a problem, therefore, we cannot afford to cater to the needs of our daughter let’s alone enroll her into preschool”.
She, therefore, called on philanthropists, NGOs, corporate institutions, benevolent organizations and government to come to volunteer, come to their aid and support little Suraya to go to school and study to become useful to the society.
Organizations and well-meaning individuals who want to contribute to the dreams of little Suraya to see the light by getting enrolled in a preschool can make donations through Human Rights Reporters Gh. Account Number 02609550007: Bank of Africa Bank of Africa New Town Branch.
They can also do so by reaching out to little Suraya directly through her mother’s contact number 0572313970.
