In a bid to increase accessibility and affordability, the Minister for Health, Kwabena Mintah Ankandoh, has announced a reduction in the price of application forms for nursing training colleges.
Now, prospective students can purchase the forms for GHC 150, down from the previous price of GHC 200.
According to a statement signed by the Minister, the application process for health training institutions is now open and will run from April 22, 2025, to June 19, 2025. Details of the application process will be published soon.
“The reduction is intended to enhance access and affordability for applicants across the country,” Akandoh explained.
Akandoh urges prospective applicants to take note of the authorized banks.
“The General public and all prospective applicants are entreated to take note that only GCB PLC and the Agriculture Development Bank ADB Banks are mandated to sell the application forms,” the statement emphasized.
This move aims to make nursing education more accessible to Ghanaians, particularly those who may have been deterred by the previous cost.
