Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has responded to critics of the government’s management of the economy by saying life is hard everywhere. He said it is not just in Ghana where the cost of living is high but even in highly developed countries.
Addressing the clergy during his tour of the Central Region, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia said he was in Canada just a couple of weeks ago and they too were complaining.
The NPP presidential candidate said the global economy is affected and that is affecting everyone everywhere in the world. He stated that cost of living and inflations are high everywhere.
“It is very clear that the cost of living has gone up across the world. Even when I was in Canada just a few weeks ago, there were similar complaints.
“There has been a major increase in the cost of living and global inflation has increased fivefold, so there is a problem.”
