The Coalition of Muslim Organizations, Ghana (COMOG) has congratulated Muslims across the country on the successful completion of Ramadan, urging them to hold onto the valuable lessons learned during the sacred period.
“We commend the dedication, perseverance, and self-discipline exhibited by Muslims during this sacred period,” said Hajj Abdel-Manan Abdel-Rahman, President of COMOG.
Ramadan’s significance extends beyond fasting; it’s a period of spiritual rejuvenation, introspection, and self-improvement.
Throughout the month of Ramadan, Muslims in Ghana and around the world observed dawn-to-dusk fasting, engaged in intense prayer and supplication, and demonstrated extraordinary generosity and compassion towards the needy.
A Call for Unity And Spiritual Growth
As Muslims celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, COMOG has urged them to channel the self-renewal and spiritual growth experienced during Ramadan into contributing positively to the development of Ghana.
“We encourage ourselves to influence change in our workplaces, families, and communities by upholding the values of honesty, integrity, and compassion, promoting peace, tolerance, and understanding, and engaging in acts of charity and volunteerism,” Abdel-Rahman stated.
COMOG has also called on Muslim leadership in Ghana to support efforts toward establishing a unified Ummah Constitutional Framework, which will ensure stability and unity within the Muslim community and contribute significantly to the overall development of Ghana.
Eid-ul-Fitr Celebration
As Muslims celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, COMOG wished them a joyous and peaceful celebration. “We pray for Allah’s continued guidance, blessings, and protection. We wish Muslims a joyous and peaceful Eid celebration and look forward to another opportunity to grow spiritually and contribute meaningfully to our nation’s progress,” Abdel-Rahman said.
The Eid-ul-Fitr celebration marks the end of Ramadan, a month of fasting, reflection, and spiritual growth. Muslims around the world come together to celebrate the occasion with family, friends, and community.
