You’re a significant anchor for the stability in Ghana – Rawlings praises Chief Imam
Former President Jerry John Rawlings in a post on Facebook, congratulated Sheikh Dr. Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu for a life well lived.
He eulogized the celebrant as a “significant anchor for the stability” in the Ghanaian society whose words are full of wisdom.
“You hardly speak but when you do, it evokes only wisdom I pray for Allah’s greatest blessings as you chalk one century on this earth. May you life continue to impact positively on Ghanaians. Happy Birthday,” parts the former President’s post read.
Ghana needs more of your wisdom; live long – Akufo-Addo
President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo also paid a glowing tribute to the Islamic leader.
To him, Sheikh Dr. Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu’s contribution to national development cannot be overemphasized.
He asked Allah for the gift of long life for the Chief Imam so he can continue to bless Ghana with “his wisdom and experience”.
You are my father and mentor – Bawumia tells Chief Imam
Vice President Bawumia, in a video, prayed for good health and long life for the Chief Imam who he described as an epitome of unity and a blessing Ghana.
He said, the “life of the Chief Imam is being a real blessing to Ghana.This is an epitome of peace, an epitome of Islam, an epitome of tolerance, humility and kindness. With him as a National Chief Imam, Ghana continues to be a peaceful country. I’m so happy and honoured to have come to know him as a father. He’s a mentor and his outreach to people of different religions shows the sort of unity Ghana really needs. He treats everyone equally regardless of tribe, religion. He really is a splendid human being and we thank God for him.”
The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Dr. Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu is noted for his humility and religious tolerance.
He has over the years demonstrated his love for humanity through his gestures and has called for unity among Christians, Muslims and other religions in Ghana and beyond.
Prior to his 100th birthday, he joined the Catholic Church at Christ The King on Easter Sunday to foster unity among the Christians and Muslims.
He encouraged the rest of the world to emulate the unity between Muslims and Christians in Ghana.
