The Chief of Ho-Dome, Togbe Howusu Adzilakle XIV of the Asogli Traditional Council, has called on the government to fulfill it’s campaign promises to the people of the Volta Region.
Togbe who was speaking on behalf of the Asogli Traditional Council [ads1]during a sod-cutting event for the construction of one of the 10 Youth and Sports Resource Centers to be built across all ten regions of Ghana by the Ministry of Youth and Sports said, “On behalf of the Asogli Traditional Council and the people of the Volta region, I want to thank the Minister and his people for this great initiative.
During the elections, President Nana Akuffo-Addo told us that some projects being undertaken by the former government would be assessed well before the NPP government would continue them in order to get value for money”.
“But since the government came into power our roads and other projects have been brought to a standstill.
“I want to appeal to the government to honour their promises made to us”…he added.
Togbe’s statement was however met by a reassurance from the Volta Regional Minister, Hon Dr. Yao Archibald Letsa, who said that his government is committed to fulfilling its promises to the people.
The Youth and Sports Resource Center when completed, is to serve the youths in and around Ho and the Volta region at large in developing talents.
