The Central African country has been stripped off the hosting rights of the 2019 edition of the African Cup of Nations.

The decision was reached following a meeting held by the CAF Executive Committee in Accra, Ghana on Friday 30th November.

Cameroon is said to have failed to meet the required infrastructural standard to be able to host the football festival, scheduled for June 2019.

According to CAF President Ahmad Ahmad, the football governing body will work to determine a new host country by the end of the year.
