Dreams FC coach Abdul Karim Zito is very optimistic about the chances of his side qualifying for the final of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Dreams FC are set to host Zamalek of Egypt at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi this Sunday in their semi-final second leg. After they held Zamalek to a 0-0 draw in Egypt last Sunday, the veteran tactician believes his side can go for the kill in Kumasi.
With a spot in the grand finale at stake, Zito said, “After the first leg in Cairo we all sat together and planned on what exactly we want from the Sunday game. And the objective on Sunday is to qualify and as to how [we] will qualify, you will see it on Sunday.”
Speaking to Akoma Sports, he said “You are here and you have seen the attitude of the players. We have put the results of the first leg aside and we are preparing seriously for the second leg. We know it is going to be very very difficult; it won’t be an easy game. It will look very frightening and very difficult but one thing I can tell you is that it is not impossible. For us, it is possible.”
To allow Ghanaians to witness another historical feat in Ghana football, Dreams FC have made all stands except for the VIP and VVIP areas free for all. The game kicks off at exactly 4 pm. Dreams FC aims to make Ghana proud after 20 years since the last Ghanaian club played the finals of the Confederation Cup.
