Brogya Gyamfi, Deputy Defence Minister designate

The former Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer of the ruling National Democratic Congress, Ernest Yaw Brogya Gyamfi has been nominated by President John Mahama for the position of Deputy Minister for Defence.

Mr. Gyamfi is among the list of 13 individuals the President has nominated to be vetted and approved for deputy ministerial positions.

Profile of Ernest Yaw Brogya Gyemfi

Ernest Yaw Brogya Genfi is a professional writer, an administrator, Politician and a youth activist. Yaw is equipped with skills in communications, event management and advertising.

Ernest Yaw Brogya Genfi was once the youth organizer for the National Democratic Congress in the Ashanti region. He also have a decade work experience in both the public and private sectors in, Ghana.

Ernest after completing Senior High school, further his education. He became a graduate from Kumasi polytechnic holding a diploma in Business Studies. He also acquired Master’s in Political marketing from the University Of Ghana Legon  (UG).

Yaw has a decade working experience in both the public and private sectors in Ghana. He is well equipped with skills in communications, event Management, advertising and event management.

Ernest joined the NDC in 1999 due to the stands of Jerry John Rawlings. This happened after he read broad on the late president about why the most people in Kumasi then ill talked about him. He later became the Youth Organizer for the NDC in the Ashanti region and also contested for the National NDC Youth Organizer position in 2015 and 2022 but lost to the incumbent George Opare Addo now the Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment.
