Reports reaching Awake News indicates that the some suspected youth believed to be a member of the ruling NPP stormed the residence of the Municipal Cheif Executive of Wa, Issahaku Tahiru Moomin, today, Sunday evening vandalizing property worth thousands of Ghana cedis.

It is said that the occupants of the home of the MCE were members of the ruling government before the attack.

It is not yet clear the reason for the attacks.

[ads1]The development is coming on the hills of similar attacks on security personnel by suspected criminals in the country.

Last week, two officers were shot dead by robbers while returning from night duties in the Ashanti Region, while a military officer attached to the Flagstaff House was also killed by the roadside at Tema, a fortnight ago.

A couple of weeks ago, Kwame Boaffour, a.k.a, Abronye DC, the Regional Youth Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP was also attacked and have been hospitalized since.

Just today, some group of armed robbers has attacked the Kwabenya Police Station killing one police officer and setting free seven suspects in the police custody.

This evening there were reports that the Youth Organizer of NDC for Droboso Constituency was also attacked.
