The New Patriotic Party, NPP candidate for Awutu Senya East Constituency Mavis Hawa Koomson has lost to NDC Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor in the 2024 elections.
The Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Mavis Hawa Koomson lost to the NDC’s Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunnor but was given a huge gap.
Naa Koryoo obtained 50,886 votes, defeating the Fisheries, who garnered 46,638 votes.
Despite the violent turn of events after the collation of results leading to two supporters of the NDC PC losing their lives in an open gun fire from Hawa Koomson camp, the NDC has called on their supporters to remain calm.
