The Coconut Grove Regency Hotel in Accra is currently in flames and fire fighters are working tirelessly to bring the inferno under control.

Parts of the hotel which houses the Amansa TV and Business Television Africa (BTA) Networks belonging to Groupe Nduom and a GN Bank branch are the worst hit. Personnel of the Ghana Police Service are also at the scene to protect properties as well as maintain law and order.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown.

The three-star hotel, the TV station and the bank located near the Ghana Immigration Service headquarters belong to business magnate Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, who run on the ticket of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) during the 2012 and 2016 elections in Ghana.
