Ghanaian Chef, Ebenezer Smith has reportedly been arrested by Ghana Police Service for alleged fraud.
It is not yet clear the reason for his alleged arrest but this is coming shortly after he announced that he is the new Guinness World Record holder for the longest cooking marathon.
Chef Smith made the announcement at a press conference at the La Palm Beach Hotel today, Tuesday, July 2.
Chef Smith started his cook-a-thon journey on February 1, 2024. He cooked for 820 hours, ending his marathon on March 6, 2024 even though he initially targeted 1,200 hours.
According to reports, he has been detained at the La Police Station in Accra.
